Open Saturdays with Yaya
Join us for our first Open Saturdays session by Yaya @brog.de.mar hosting: A brief history of colonial plant classification, creative plant-naming & interpretative tea-tasting
SATURDAY 24TH MAY from 12-3PM
Come learn about the colonial roots of plant classification, creative approaches to naming plants and a sensory tea-tasting session with mystery herbs from the land. Yay will be introducing us to different plant classication systems espcially in the context of medical herbalism and plant foods. Expect grounding practices, shared stories, playful expression through language, sound, movement and a chance to reconnect with plants in a more personal and imaginative way.
Snacks, drinks and books will be available throughout.

Spaces are free but consider donating to Yaya’s fundraiser here. Help raise the £7,500 they need by July to stay in the UK. Funds cover visa fees, NHS surcharge & gender-affirming care. Donate, share, or commission their work to help them continue nurturing healing spaces.
