PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS FULLY BEFORE COMMITTING TO RESERVING A TICKET.
For our third session, Safiya will lead participants through the creation of personalised recipe boxes filled with their own unique spice blends and marinades. Along with the spice blends, each participant will also write or illustrate their own recipe card to accompany the spices, telling the story behind the blend, what it represents, and any personal memories or cultural significance. The recipe boxes will include a dry spice blend, a fermented hot sauce, a pickle, a recipe card and basic ingredients to finish their chosen dish.
This session is on Saturday 18th July in the garden from 11am - 2pm.
Tickets are free and available only to BPOC. Please only reserve a ticket if you're confident you can attend as these workshops are often oversubscribed. We will operate a small waitlist. If you can no longer attend, please let us know at least 24–48 hours in advance so we can offer your place to someone else. It's disappointing to lose a space because of a no-show.
This workshop is part of our four-part 2026 BPOC Growers Club series. To give as many people as possible the opportunity to participate, please book a place on one of the four workshops only. Tickets go live each Monday at 7pm for the workshops in July. See the full programme listings here.
If you have any questions or access requirements to make us aware of ahead of the event - please email tanyawilson96@gmail.com. We will be in touch before the event with an email with further details.
This session is supported by funding from the Black Food Fund.
We make an effort to keep our events free. If you would like to support our small organisation and the continuation of community programming, please click here to donate.
